As Financial Trade Controller at FincoEnergies, you play an important role in supporting the trading teams by delivering reliable and timely financial reporting while maintaining the overview and ensuring the integrity of the (bio)trade administrations. The position is located at our head office in Rotterdam and is full-time. This is an individual contributor role where you will be part of the broader FincoEnergies finance team.
Your responsibilities as a Financial (Trade) Controller
Ensuring correct, complete and timely monthly closing, including preparing monthly reports.
Verify and reconcile (bio)trading transactions (the open contracts in the market) and positions (the status of open trades), as well as the administrative processing of the purchases and sales of all fossil fuels.
Work closely with the trading desk and back office to identify anomalies and risks in the reporting and report these to management.
Managing financial risks, such as currency and price fluctuations, and reporting deviations to management.
Optimizing the workflow between the trading desk, back office and finance department, focusing on improving control and reporting processes.
Support in the preparation of consolidations and monthly closings per entity.
Provide support for audits and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, such as EMIR and MiFID.
Implement systems for better control and reporting of trading activities and financial processes.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to closely monitor financial reporting and trading transactions.
Proactive attitude and the ability to take ownership of the ensured tasks, working independently with a hands-on mentality.
Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
Solution-oriented thinking and acting, focusing on process optimization and minimizing risks.
Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.

As a Front Runner you bring
A completed higher professional education bachelor's degree, preferably in a finance-related field.
At least 5 years of work experience in a similar position.
Experience gained in an organization with trading activities, preferably in a (commodities) trading environment, banking or trading house, is an advantage.
Excellent command of Excel; experience with Navision/Dynamics is a plus.
Fluent in English and/or Dutch.
