Do you want to play a key role in keeping our financial administration sharp, while helping accelerate the energy transition?

Join FincoEnergies as Accounting Employee in the Road & Marine division. In this role, you will ensure flawless financial administration across multiple entities and you will be key to accurate and timely reporting. This includes daily financial operations as well as monthly and period-end closing activities, including reconciliations and checks in the accounting system to ensure accurate, complete, and timely financial reporting. You will become part of the Road & Marine finance team based in Rotterdam and report directly to the Teamlead Accounting. Together, you will help shape the future of sustainable transport solutions.

Your responsibilities as (senior) Accounting Employee

  • Handle daily financial operations: process purchase, sales, and bank transactions, and validate invoices for accuracy.

  • Posting invoices to the appropriate cost centers, responding to supplier inquiries, and managing internal recharges.

  • Acounts receivable and payable overdue reporting and follow-up.

  • Contribute to month- and year-end close, reporting and audits, including booking accruals, preparation of balance sheet files, assisting in VAT filings and explaining results.

  • Coordinating with commericial backoffice and finance departments within the division and the FincoEnergies group.

  • Proficiency in addressing urgent issues and overcoming obstacles through creative solutions or collaborations to achieve set goals.

  • Maintaining a strong focus on both goal achievement and process quality to attain the desired results.

As our new Front Runner you bring

  • A higher educational level (HBO) or working level;

  • 5+ years of work experience in a similar role;

  • A result-driven, enthusiastic, proactive, and accurate mindset;

  • Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written. Applications will only be considered if both language requirements are met;

  • Experience preparing VAT returns and performing month-end closing activities;

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP.

  • Experience with ERP systems - experience with Microsoft Business Central and Blue10 is considered a plus.

  • Knowledge of and experience in trading organisations, especially in fuels or energy is a significant plus.
