As a Compliance & Sustainable Reporting Specialist, you are the gatekeeper to FincoEnergies’ “license to operate,” ensuring our compliance with frameworks such as RED/ISCC and other compliance schemes. You’ll oversee complex processes while also offering support to customers. You thrive in a dynamic environment where legislative changes are constant, and your systematic thinking and eye for detail will be crucial in managing mass balance accounting and emissions reporting.

Your responsibilities as a Compliance & Sustainable Reporting Specialist

  • Operating and maintaining a mass balance accounting system that ensures compliance with internal and legal frameworks and simultaneously optimises commercial outcomes.

  • Attending multidisciplinary meetings, presenting mass balance findings and overviews to management.

  • Preparing documentation for internal and external audits, acting as the main point of contact for auditors.

  • Proactively identifying internal procedural defects and participating in updating policies and systems to stay compliant with current and future regulations.

  • Maintaining strong connections with biofuel suppliers and supporting customers regarding downstream emissions claims and PoS (Proof of Sustainability) and PoC (Proof of Compliance) allocation.

Your Talents

  • Working accurately and meticulously, paying close attention to detail and ensuring consistency in reporting.

  • Recognizing problems and addressing them systematically, keeping an eye on consequences and solutions.

  • Communicating and coordinating effectively with fellow team members and adapting communication to different audiences.

  • Delivering high-quality results, anticipating hidden issues and making improvements within defined standards.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including data handling, creating complex reports and performing analyses using Excel sheets.

As our new Front Runner you bring

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent working and thinking level.

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience.

  • Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, a resourceful mindset and the curiosity to dive deeply into topics.

  • Intrinsic motivation to contribute to the energy transition while maintaining a commercial perspective.

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment, prioritize effectively, and deliver under pressure.

  • Fluency in English is required; fluency in Dutch is a big plus but not required.

For this position, we can only consider candidates who are already authorized to work in the Netherlands without employer sponsorship. If you require visa sponsorship, we will unfortunately not be able to consider or respond to your application.

Our promise to you

  • A strong salary based on experience & competencies and attractive yearly bonus potential;

  • 8% holiday allowance;

  • A collective pension plan with two-thirds covered by FincoEnergies;

  • A yearly budget of € 900,- gross for your well-being and development;

  • An annual training budget of € 2000,- gross to support your professional development;

  • 25 vacation days (based on a full-time employment);

  • Flexible & remote work (>80% in the office);

  • Entrepreneurial and sustainable environment providing growth and development opportunities;

  • Free daily fresh-made lunch at our offices;

  • A new laptop and phone;

  • An international and energetic workplace in our new and entirely sustainably designed offices in Rotterdam and Amsterdam;

  • Great internal events that blow you away.
