Business Development Manager

Join us as a Business Development Manager and focus on a sustainable future!

As Business Development Manager, you will develop and establish new business platforms (starting from scratch) in renewable energy markets organically or through M&A with a focus on Europe. You'll take the lead in developing and executing strategic business plans by thoroughly assessing market dynamics, identifying commercial opportunities, and calculating the potential impact of reducing CO2 emissions. This means developing an idea further to a deliverable or a realistic goal and showing entrepreneurship. You will be part of our Business Innovation division and report to Bart Hellings. You as Business Development Manager can work flexibly on the locations Amsterdam and Rotterdam. So bring your strategic thinking, your ability to align key stakeholders, your analytical mindset, your project management skills and make it work!

Your responsibilities as a Business Development Manager:

  • Developing a business and execution plan with clear milestones and priorities;
  • Coordinate and lead project teams to high perform by motivating, and coaching on results;
  • Managing due diligence processes and commercial deals;
  • Communication skills to engage at all levels.
  • Ability to convince key stakeholders including Executive Management, Regulators and business partners to establish new platforms in the energy transition

Your Talents:

  • You are good at strategically setting up various processes and approaching them tactically.
  • A passion and motivation to help an organization further with sustainability.
  • The ability to analyze complex issues and/or pieces of information and convert this to provide insights.
  • You are driven and take full ownership of your projects.
  • You like to take on a challenge and know how to create support within and outside the organization.

As our new Front Runner you bring:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role relevant operational and commercial experience (i.e. supply agreements, supply operations from loading to delivery) or experience within consultancy regarding sustainability;
  • A strong background within sustainability and with a passion for creating a better world;
  • Mathematical, logical and analytical skills;
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills demonstrating the ability to prioritize a varied workload with a combination of short-term tasks and longer-term assignments;
  • The ability to manage and bring key stakeholders along (customers, suppliers, regulators, senior management, capital providers).
  • Available at least 32 hours per week and living in The Netherlands.
